Sabah International Fishing Tournament is an annual event sponsored by the Sabah Tourism Board and is listed in their Calendar of Events. The Sabah Anglers Association will organize this tournament and the Venue Organizer is the Sutera Harbour Marina, Golf & Country Club.

Mode of Competition 

Two categories: Team Event and Individual Event

Team Event

Open to both Male & Female participants over the age of 18. There will be 3 participants and the 1^st prize will be awarded to the team who submits the heaviest total of 3 fishes. There will be a total of 5 prizes for this category. 

Individual Event

Open to both Male & Female over the age of 18. Prizes will be awarded for the heaviest fish in each of the 9 specified species of fish. Each participant is permitted to submit 2 fishes, i.e. 1 fish for each category.

Kota Kinabalu offshore, 20 nautical miles radius off Pulau Mengalum

Registration Fees

Early Birds            - RM150.00 for participants who register and pay up before 1^st April 2009

Late                       - RM180.00 registration after 1^st April 2009     

Closing Date

Final Registration : 1800hrs on 9^th April 2009

Payment can be made by Cash/Bank Draft/Money Order and made payable to Sabah Anglers Association. All completed registration must be submitted together with the Registration Fees to the event organizer.
