The Situation In Asia The cyber bullying situation in Asia is rampant, according to Effendy Ibrahim, symantec's Norton Business Lead for Asia South Region. In Malaysia, 60 cases of cyber bullying were reported to CyberSecutity Malaysia as of October 2007. Across the border in Singapore, 80 cases were reported last year to WiredSafety, an online safety and help group. "Most kids think the cyberworld is a place that adults don't enter, so it's harder to get caught cyber bullying, " says Dr. Marilyn Campbell, a psychologist at Australia's Queensland University of Technology. If your child is a victim of cyber bullying, they may not want to tell you for fear of embarassment or that you will overract. Or they fear their phone and internet privileges may be curtailed. But there are some warning signs you can look out for, advises Effendy:
